# Compliance

## Custom Data Retention

In the dashboard, open **Settings → Enterprise** and set the **Data retention
period (days)**. This controls the number of days that model-call data is
retained for new API runs. Clear the value to turn off automatic deletion.

### Realtime

These model-call retention controls do not apply to the Realtime API.

## Zero Data Retention

The [Deletion API](/api-reference/runs/delete-a-runs-content)
lets you delete a run's prompts, request content, and generated assets.
Retrieve the outputs you need, then request deletion as soon as generation
finishes to minimize retention of model-call content. Check the deletion
receipt to confirm completion. Separately stored or shared input assets
may require their own deletion.

Billing and deletion audit records remain after run content is deleted.

### Realtime

Conversations integrated with our Realtime API do not retain customer audio
or use customer audio for training.
